The Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department serves the Jim Ned Valley area — including Tuscola, Buffalo Gap, Lawn, and surrounding communities — with dedication, professionalism, and heart. Their firefighters are 100% volunteer and provide emergency fire and rescue services to our rural region, often responding to fires, vehicle accidents, medical calls, and natural disasters.
Operating out of multiple stations and covering over 200 square miles, Jim Ned VFD is truly the first line of defense for many of our friends and neighbors. Their efforts save lives and protect property, and we are so thankful for all they do — often with limited funding and resources.
