Winters, Texas. Bunton Roofing was honored to support the recent remodel of First Baptist Church of Winters, located at 104 W Main Street in Winters, Texas. As the church prepared for its building dedication on November 9, 2025, our team was brought in to handle the roofing repairs needed to protect their investment and ensure long-term performance.

Project Overview
The remodel included moving HVAC equipment, upgrading mechanical systems, and addressing age-related wear around roof penetrations. Our job was to secure the roof’s integrity so the rest of the remodel could proceed with confidence.
Scope of Work Performed
Our commercial crew completed the following repairs:
Spudded back the roof in the area where two HVAC cabinets were recently relocated (approximately 6 squares).
Installed three fiberglass plies, mopped in hot asphalt to rebuild and reinforce the modified area.
Flooded the roof with asphalt and embedded ravel for a durable, uniform surface.
Spudded back the gravel around new vents and penetrations for each of the new AC condensers.
Repaired two damaged plumbing stack vents, including spudding back gravel and hot-mopping the affected areas.
Cleared debris from the roof and roof drains to ensure proper water flow.
Sealed multiple thermal splits in the parapet walls to prevent future moisture intrusion.
Each step was designed to protect the church’s newly remodeled space and help extend the life of their existing roof system.
